Workers complete final preparations on a home designed by a team from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on the National Mall at The Energy Department's 2009 Solar Decathlon October 7, 2009 in Washington, DC. The Solar Decathlon features 20 university teams building high-tech, high-efficiency solar-powered homes to showcase the latest in green design and technology and "to promote cutting edge green technology, energy efficiency, renewable energy and green jobs."
